With over 30 years of experience in education, Dr. Pamela Cernjul is a dedicated educator, researcher, and policy advocate committed to creating nurturing, empowering, and trauma-responsive learning environments where all students can thrive.

She holds a Doctor of Education in Curriculum, Teaching, Learning, and Leadership from Northeastern University, with research focused on pedagogical practices that support trauma-affected children while promoting both emotional well-being and academic success. Her work bridges the gap between research and real classrooms—translating theory into practical, sustainable strategies that educators can implement immediately.

Dr. Cernjul’s work centers on supporting educators as whole people. She designs and delivers professional learning that equips teachers with trauma-informed practices, mindfulness strategies, and sustainable approaches to teacher well-being. Her approach is grounded in a simple but powerful belief: when teachers are supported, students thrive. By strengthening teacher capacity and resilience, classrooms become calmer, more connected, and more effective learning environments.

In addition to her classroom and professional development work, Dr. Cernjul is a Policy Fellow with the Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education, where she engages in education policy research and advocacy. Her work focuses on advancing whole child education, educator wellness, and systems-level change that supports both students and teachers. By bridging practice and policy, she brings a unique and informed perspective to conversations about meaningful, sustainable school improvement.

Dr. Cernjul collaborates with educators, schools, and organizations committed to building inclusive, mindful, and trauma-responsive learning environments. Her work empowers educators with practical tools while fostering classrooms where students feel safe, seen, and capable of success.
